In the main menu on your Glowbase Dashboard, you'll notice the Organizations tab. An organization can be any organizational unit offering doctoral programs: a department, division, faculty, institute, university, graduate school, hospital, center, clinic etc. To see which organizations are already associated with your Glowbase account, click on the Organizations tab in your main menu and you will see the complete list.

Organizations are important because you can see exactly which positions and people are associated with which organization. You can map out the actual organizational structure in the platform by connecting relevant positions and people with the organization. When you set up your organizations, positions and people in a way that mimics the reality of your organizational structure you create a quick snapshot of how everything functions and how these important parts are interconnected. It's a great way of keeping track of what organization is offering which position and who is responsible for it and in which capacity. And you can figure this out by glancing over each of the organizations.

This way, you don't have to go into the Positions and People tabs in the main menu to manually track down who is in charge off which position. You can easily see the details of each organization if you click on the View button next to the one you want to check.

Once you click on it, you will be taken to the page of that organization. If you scroll down, you can see all the positions this graduate school offers and who has been assigned the role of Coordinator or Principal Investigator. You can click into each person or position to find out more about them.
